zim_corp.jpgZim Integrated Shipping Services Ltd. is getting some good news from Danish shipper Moller-Maersk Group A/S, which published its financial report for the third quarter of 2010. Maersk reported a 34% increase in container shipping rates and a 7% increase in shipping volume.

Maersk raised its net profit guidance by 25% to $5 billion, on the basis of the improvement in container shipping.

Bank Hapoalim analyst Yaron Friedman said, "Maersk's results continue to paint Zim in a more optimistic light."

Friedman added, "We assume that the improvement will continue, and even
strengthen, in both the third quarter and looking forward, especially
thanks to the extensive streamlining measures Zim has undertaken, and
the improvement in its business environment."
